Bye Bye ants

Ants have gone, have packed up the camper, need to check it in a few weeks re progress but so far so good.

plant it out

Jase helped out heaps over the past few days, firstly by hiring a chipper/ shredder and chopping up all my pruning mess and his pruning mess and playgroups pruning mess.  I went on a bit of a rampage through the yard with a pair of seccateurs and a brush saw.  Had fun, had little idea of what I was doing but loved every bit.

Removed old stuff from the vege garden and planted some broccoli and silverbeet along with some cabbage and cauliflower plants from Mum.  Put lettuce in along with some hope that cracker doesn’t take a dump on them and the ants don’t carry them away.

Sammy sits

Sam has had a burst of energy, was very active today, maybe his teeth aren’t hurting as much.  He started sitting up on his own, is now going from lying on his tummy to sitting. He has been talking lots and has started to get back at Aiden for pinching his stuff (clocked him on the head and stole his dummy this mornin).  He has been rolling around lots to get to stuff and pulling himself up on things but not quite all the way to the feet yet.

Boys are out

Jase is having a rare night out at the pub in Mudgee, at a friends 30th birthday (Pete).  Going to skirmish for Pete’s birthday bash on Sat.

Need to mow the grass

Aiden has been happily watering the grass, mummy has big smiles.  No incentives needed, seems to be enjoying it.

Sammy stepping

Sam started stepping in all directions over easter with support, I think he is getting teeth, is very chatty as well.  Is wanting to eat everything particularly whatever I am eating.

Ants in the wood

We have discovered ants have started to eat the camper.  Jase has done a great job of further dismantling the camper and found that they have been eating wooden beading that curtains are attached to around the roof.  Ants must die.

Easter eggs

Had easter at Mum and Dad’s with the family.  Aiden and Zoe had a great time together and were so happy to find that the easter bunny had visited.  They had a great distraction in the form of one Rosie the lamb.  Zoe is Sherils’ daughter, she is so interested in everything you are doing and is a very helpful happy three year old.  She has a very strong NZ accent, poor thing had to repeat herself over and over to me many times, she was exasperated and giving me queer looks at times due to my level of stupidity.

Had my chocolate addiction under control before easter, it has since bolted the gate.

Aiden has been sick with a fever started with a cold.

Sammy waved at Jase and Aiden yesterday for the first time, very cute.  He is trying very hard to get up on his knees, turns around etc.  Rolling around in bed I think is waking him occasionally at night as is getting out of his wrap now.

Am tired +++ from Sammy waking a few times last night and Jase being restless, had to go sleep on the lounge to get away from everything but didn’t sleep.  Busy weekend, Went to trivia night Friday, our team came third without cheating which was great. Saturday went to tupperware party, Jase and Aiden slept in the tent outside that night. Sunday went to playgroup cleanup, the sewerage had gone through the hall on Friday made a huge mess.  Had to help clean up outside etc, boys pulled the carpet and lino up.  More work to be done there yet after easter.
