The boys are having their 3rd and first birthdays this weekend.  Big party at the miniature railway should be great fun for them.  On Sunday Sammy stood up on his own a few times without support.  Bought the boys chooks for their birthdays and chookhouse for the chooks.  The chooks have been named henny penny (Aiden’s chook which is an australorp) and Bibi (Sammy’s chook which is a rhode island red).  They are happy chooks who are friendly to each other.  Bibi is a bit shy but henny penny jumps at you when trying to change the feed/ water etc. Cracker likes them. The boys love the chooks.

Jason bushwalked the six foot track with work on the 13th and 14th June.  All started badly as the leader dropped everyone at the wrong gate, did 5 to 6kms as a warm up. So we ended up doing 21 odd kms before camping over night at Coxs River campsite.

The walk was magic with the weather holding good for both days.

Came home with blisters and what looks like the death of a toenail.

Sammy is now stepping along the couch, the edge of the verandah, anything that he can.  He stands up holding onto my knee then lets go, standing for a second or two then dropping down to the floor.  Aiden is chatty and is continuing with role playing.  He is a real character and is heaps of fun to be around.

Had a great time at Al’s 40th birthday at Dubbo.  Caught up with all the old Dubbo crew which we haven’t been able to do in years.  As you can see Al enjoyed himself.  Kaz did a great job with the party arrangements and food etc.  the kids all enjoyed themselves, Aiden fell asleep on the couch with Angus. there were kids laying around everywhere at the end of the night.

Had my right wisdom tooth out Wed last week.  Cheek etc blew up, still a bit sore, Nurofen and panadol are great to keep the pain down.  Aiden seems to understand Mummy has a sore mouth and iscautious around me, Sammy on the other hand thinks it is funny to head butt Mummy in the sore spot.

Am looking at going to the snowy mountains with Narelle on a horse riding trip.  Haven’t decided yet where to go, maybe Vic or NSW, so many options that all look really good.

Sammy has been busy lately with crawling everywhere and getting into everything.  He is now clapping and pointing at things, makes verbalisations, telling stories.  He drinks from a cup by himself and eats fingerfood.  He won’t lie still for nappy changes and gets cranky when things don’t move or work just how he wants them to.  He gets cranky with Aiden and tries to hit him when Aiden takes his toys. 

Aiden is having a ball with role playing, he takes on a different character from Thomas everyday.  Natalie came on friday to stay the day, Aiden had a ball with her.  He enjoys watching the Cars movie and playing with Lightning McQueen.  He loves riding his bike along the footpath and is more confident but not yet pedalling.Today he is playing with his fathers train track.

Went to Dubbsville last week, found out previously that Lewis Rumiz’s son Alex died in a boating accident on Sydney harbour previous week, very saddened by this news, wishing Lewis all the best at the moment.

Caught up with workmates in Dubbo, handed in my resignation on the 6th, did some shopping etc.  Stayed in the camper in a caravan park a couple of nights which was really successful.  Towed the camper and put it up with the help of the boys.  Saturday Mum came to stay on her way back from CWA conf at Tweed Heads, she kindly offered to look after the boys while Jase and I went out for dinner together (first time in ages), we had a lovely time out.  Next day was mothers day and as it happened my birthday as well.  Got up early, Jase cooked breakfast, went on a bushwalk and BBQ with Mum, Jase, Aiden and Sam, Suava and Lucy, Bec and Flynn, and Jeanette, Frank, Oscar and Kalani.  Went to Castle rock, great views over the plains. Really nice day out.

Next day went to the dentist, had impression done for splint to help stop grinding of teeth and clicking jaw.  Also informed by the dentist that I need both bottom wisdom teeth out and to expect the worst when it comes to after pain as no guarantees re. ease of extraction but needs to be done so grin and bear it. Given over a week to wait, too much time to think about it really, hopefully he will do both next Wednesday.

Sam is so much fun to be around.  He is pushy and starting to recognise things, he knows how to demand attention, won’t let Aiden pinch anything without putting up a protest.  He is starting to take his first steps while holding hands.  He tests his balance by standing with support then letting go and seeing how long till he falls down on his bottom.  Aiden includes Sam in all his stories, we all take on roles, today I was Diesel, Aiden Cranky the Crane and Sam was Toby.  Took Aiden and Sam down the street for a bike ride, met a neighbour who is due to give birth next month.  Aiden is more confident on the bike but not pedalling as yet, he’ll get there soon.

Went to Armidale last weekend, had a really relaxing time with Lee, David, Angus, Rohan, Callan and Sophia.  The kids all had a ball and we had such a good time catching up.  Went for a bushwalk to Dangars Falls.  Angus has a great memory.  Sophia is a cute girl who is loved heaps by her big brothers.

Liam and Aiden are riding the trains at Lithgow for Liam’s first birthday on the 18th April.
