Dunns Swamp

       Camped Fri/ Sat nights at the swamp near Rylstone.  Crazy storm on the Fri night, all hell broke loose on the camper, but she stood up to it.  Huge lightning and torrential rain, unofficial reading of half a cup.  Wendy (from playgroup and ABA) and Tony and kids camped as well on the Fri night in their camper and survived no worries.  Glad Annette (also from playgroup and ABA) and Pete and kids didn’t show up till the next day which was a beautiful warm day as their tent may have up and floated to the centre of the swamp.

Hired a canoe and Jase paddled us down to the weir and back (I couldn’t help much as was holding Sam on my lap lucky me).  Tony and the kids paddled down as well while every one else walked.  All the kids had a great time in the boats.  Had a fire and twisties on sticks (old girl guide damper thingy very nice with golden syrup).  Had heaps of fun and laughs and a few drinks.  Kids slept well.

Next day Suava and Lucy turned up so everyone bar me and Sam went for a walk (Sam slept and I lolled in the hammock).

Went for a swim then packed up and headed home. Lovely weekend looking forward to the next trip with Wendy and Annette and anyone else from Playgroup scheduled for Mothers day weekend.
